Succession plan for sustainable success at Acryline AG
The succession has been organised at Switzerland’s leading company for technical and decorative plastic products.
In the spirit of Acryline founder Thomas Cahak, who has successfully built up the company together with his wife Mechthild since 1989, Paul Hug and Stefan Piberhofer are now taking over the management of the company. Since the beginning, Acryline has relied on the use of state-of-the-art production machinery and highly trained and committed employees. Thanks to its great success in the past, Acryline can continue its 35 years of growth. Thomas Cahak: „We deliberately took several years to find a successor and have now found the ideal solution for the company in Paul Hug and Stefan Piberhofer!“
Successor with extensive expertise
Stefan Piberhofer has worked as Production Manager at Acryline for several years and is looking forward to the challenges ahead: „With our outstanding team, we always find an economical solution for our customers‘ trickiest tasks!“ The machining professional, who can draw on many years of management experience in the automotive industry, will be responsible for the technical aspects of Acryline AG in future. Paul Hug, who has been with the company as sales manager since 2023, has been working in the plastics industry for 20 years and will take over the administrative and commercial management in the future: „We are of course very honoured by the trust the founders have placed in us both and when this opportunity came up, we didn’t have to think twice. We are taking over a healthy company with a great team and top customers! We want to keep it that way for the next 35 years!“
Acryline AG celebrates its 35th anniversary in October. „A great occasion to retire from the operational business,“ says Thomas Cahak, who will remain with the company as a member of the Board of Directors from next year.

Simon Koster has crossed the finish line! We congratulate him warmly for the fantastic 4th rank
After 14 days, 18 hours and 45 minutes at sea, Simon Koster has arrived in Guadeloupe aboard the Class40 Banque du Léman. The Swiss sailor finished the famous single-handed regatta, which was also the final record for the Class40 project of the Roesti Sailing Team, in a fantastic fourth place, achieving the best result for Switzerland in the famous Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe.
The skipper of the Banque du Léman covered the 3,542-mile course between Saint-Malo and Pointe-à-Pitre at a speed of 9.98 knots. The great circle (the direct route). In fact, he covered 4,015.19 miles at an average speed of 11.32 knots.
Simon Koster arrived in Pointe-à-Pitre 15 hours 36 minutes 20 seconds after the winner of the winner in class 40, Yoann Richomme.

Production in one working-cycle: Our CNC milling centers master multiple production stages in one working-cycle for dimensions up to 3 x 2 meters. Tool change, milling, drilling and thread-cutting are performed automatically in coordinated manner. This minimises the processing time and our customers profit from time and cost savings.

CORONA PROTECTION, PANDEMIC PROTECTION, SPIT SHIELDS AND PROTECTIVE SCREENS MADE OF PLEXIGLAS
The corona virus (COVID-19) can be transmitted mainly via droplet infection. Wherever people meet they are exposed to the risk of infection. It is therefore important to protect each other in society by keeping distance and avoiding close contact.
The Federal Council instructs the population to follow distance and hygiene rules.
Acryline produces protective panes of transparent acrylic glass or plexiglass. A pandemic protection or spitting protection can be individually adapted to your counter or cash desk – with or without pass-through.

Congratulations to our sailing team on 4th place
Our sailors Simon Koster and Valentin Gautier successfully mastered the Transat Jacques Vabre and arrived in Salvador de Bahia. Result: Le Havre – Salvador de Bahia Class40 in 18 days, 12 hours and 29 minutes.

Swisstech 2019 took place from 14 to 17 May 2019 in Basel, where we were once again present as exhibitor. We were delighted to show our customers our diverse range of products – in the field of technical parts as well as advertising products.
